The POTA Life Story

Adventure is the Antenna.
Life is the Band.

My love for radio began not in a ham shack, but at sea. As a U.S. Navy Electronics Aviation Technician and MARS Station Operator — servicing F-14 Tomcats and S-3 Vikings, serving aboard the USS Carl Vinson, USS Independence, and at the legendary Naval Fighter Weapons School, Top Gun — I lived and breathed electronics and HF communications through some of the most demanding conditions imaginable. That experience never left me. Nearly three decades later, with an FCC General Class license and a BMW R-1200 GS Adventure loaded with gear, I'm taking that same passion outdoors — into the parks, onto the trails, and onto the air. Parks On The Air is the perfect marriage of everything I love. Welcome to my journey.
